Q:
Why is Credit Essential?
A: Everyone needs good credit
in order to obtain loans, to purchase a home,
a car, or to acquire credit cards. The bottom line is that good
credit gives
you access to the money you need. Our society has increasingly
become
more cashless, causing increased demand for good credit. We know
what it
takes to get your credit rating where you want it to be, and we
are here to get
you there.
Q: What is a credit report?
A: A credit report is pulled from at least one of the three major
credit bureaus whenever you apply for any type of credit or financing.
Credit reports are not just a record of how you are currently
managing your credit accounts. Credit reports are histories of
everything you are doing with your credit now, and everything
you have done in the past.
Q: What kind of information
appears on a credit report?
A: Merchant Trade Lines: these include all regular credit lines
such as department store cards, auto loans, mortgages, and credit
cards. Collection Accounts: when an account is referred to collections
because of delinquency or because of a bad check. Court Records:
include bankruptcies, judgments, liens, divorce, satisfied judgments,
and satisfied liens. And Inquiries: every time a potential credit
grantor looks at your credit file, a credit inquiry appears on
at least one of your credit bureau reports.
Q: Is it true that information
on my credit report cannot be changed?
A: The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires information in your
credit report be changed if it is misleading, inaccurate, outdated
or cannot be verified.
Q: Are credit bureaus
required by law to keep negative items on my credit report for
7 or 10 years?
A: There is absolutely not requirement by law that credit bureaus
report anything on you at all. Credit bureaus are private companies
that make their income by collecting and selling your personal
information.
Q: Will paying off my
old debts remove negative information from my credit report?
A: Credit bureaus most often remove
negative information is not verifiable. Ask CRS for more information.
Q: Can I repair my credit
myself?
A: Yes, you can. You can also
overhaul your own transmission if you know what you are doing.
The fact is most people do not have the experience, time, or persistence
to enforce their rights with the credit bureaus.
Q: How much does your
service cost?
A: To get started there is a one time fee of $150 for Individual
and $200 for Couple which includes 3 Credit reports with credit
score, account setup, 1st correspondence with all 3 credit bureaus
and a Professional Consultation regarding your credit. CRS will
not commence the first $49.95 monthly credit repair fee until
you have results (approximately 30-45 days). Payments will continue
monthly until you cancel our services. We recommend at least 12
months.
